Stories are my passion.

Meet Britt
Right out of college, I landed my dream job working at a self-publishing company. It wasn’t exactly a picture-perfect scenario. I was just a temp hired at the bottom of a very deep recession. And at that time? Self-publishing had another name. Vanity publishing. Whenever I told someone I worked at a publishing company, people were quick to point out that it was just a self-publishing company. That seemed to always be the headline. The stigma.
Fair and equal access has always been so important to me, and with publishing, you don’t usually get that. At least, you wouldn’t have in the past. With time and technology, we have leveled the playing field. Suddenly, we have niche communities and audiences thriving online in a world where they couldn’t exist before. There are so many platforms for authors to find their tribe, to share their story. And as a result, self-publishing has a new name: Indie Publishing.
I’m here for it. I believe in it. And I believe in everyone’s right to write.
A little bit about me. After working for the self-publishing company, I went on to work at a print house as the Marketing Director. There I learned the ins and outs of making books. I have coached authors on writing and publishing for almost two decades. I occasionally have the honor of speaking on panels and I love it!
This year, I decided the best way to coach authors was to go through the ringer myself. I set a goal for myself. If I could sell ten thousand books of my own books, I would have gathered enough skills and know-how in the process to call myself a book coach. I managed to do that and in six months. Let me share what I’ve learned with you.
I want you to tell your story.
Are you ready to get started?
Let’s do this!
Finish your book!
Writers have big imaginations. There’s a flip side to that coin. We’re easily distracted.
One of the most common hurdles I come across with writers is the inability to finish what they started. We get about forty percent through and peter off. I was guilty of that, but I’ve created a method that solves that problem.
Set your intentions
I want your intentions to be crystal clear. What are your goals and how will this book help you accomplish that? Without goals, we’re missing our guiding star.
Make a plan
If you’ve read much about the craft of writing a book, you’ll have heard the terms pantsers and plotters. A pantser flies by the seat of their pants, and a plotter… plots out their story. In my humble opinion, a plot is the difference between a finished book and one that ‘loses the plot’.
Make it yours.
Whether you’re writing the book yourself, or utilizing my ghostwriting services, we need to make sure your book has your ideas and your voice.
